What Ostadi is

Ostadi is a marketplace that introduces students to independent teachers in Bahrain. We are not a school, an employer, or an agency, and we are not a party to any lesson you agree. Teachers act on their own account. Any agreement about a lesson, its price, its place and its cancellation is between the student and the teacher.

Your account

You sign in with a Bahraini mobile number and a one-time code. One account per number. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep access to your phone and your codes to yourself. Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.

Prices and payment

No money moves through Ostadi. Prices shown are what the teacher asks, and payment is arranged and settled directly between you and the teacher, offline. We take no commission and hold no funds, so we cannot issue refunds or resolve payment disputes.

Teacher profiles

Everything on a teacher profile — subjects, experience, qualifications, availability and price — is supplied by the teacher and is not verified by us unless a profile explicitly says otherwise. Satisfy yourself that a teacher suits you before you book. Teachers must only publish information that is true and that they are entitled to share.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ostadi to harass anyone, to advertise anything other than tutoring, to scrape or bulk-collect other people's details, to impersonate anyone, or to break Bahraini law. Do not attempt to bypass our rate limits or security checks.

Sharing contact details

When a booking is confirmed or a course seat is approved, we show each side the other's name and phone number so the lesson can be arranged. Use those details only to arrange and deliver the lesson, and for nothing else.

Reviews

You can review a teacher only after a lesson has actually taken place, and only once per booking. Reviews must be your own honest experience. We may remove a review that is abusive, false, or unrelated to the teaching.

Liability

Ostadi is provided as-is. We do not promise that a teacher will be suitable, that a lesson will happen, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens between a student and a teacher, including anything that occurs during a lesson.

Suspension

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, that puts other users at risk, or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent. You can stop using Ostadi at any time and ask us to delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of Bahrain have jurisdiction over any dispute. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed.
